Kicking off the most instagrammable places in Dorset…
MAN O’WAR BEACH
Situated near Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove this beautiful beach on the Jurassic Coast is made up of sand, fine pebbles and glistening turquoise water. The view from the cliff is breathtaking and is a popular spot for walkers exploring the coastline.

GOLDEN CAP
At 191 metres tall Golden Cap is the highest point on the south coast of Great Britain. Situated on the English Channel coast between Bridport and Charmouth, this breathtaking landmark is less well known in comparison to other beauty spots on the Dorset coast. This hidden gem is surrounded by rolling hills and miles of countryside, a dream location for any budding photographer.
DURDLE DOOR
Durdle Door is one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks. If you search the hashtag #durdledoor there are over 210k results of people snapping this amazing part of the coastline. Although Durdle Door is undeniably a very picturesque spot on the coastline, if you are looking for a quieter location to capture some photographs of the landscape, it is worth exploring further past Durdle Door where less holidaymakers venture.
CHAPMANS POOL
Another lesser-known location on the Dorset coast that provides the perfect photo opportunity. Chapmans Pool is only accessible via a steep pathway down the hillside, making it less appealing to lug heavy beach bags down for the day. The stoney beach feels very secluded and rarely gets busy. The small cove is situated to the west of Worth Matravers and is a tranquil little spot to enjoy the calm and crystal clear water.
PORTLAND BILL
Portland Bill is located at the southernmost tip of the Isle of Portland with plenty of cliff path walking routes to enjoy the rugged coastline, well known for its treacherous waters. The tied island is home to the distinctive red and white Portland Bill Lighthouse which has been standing majestically for the past one hundred and eleven years. Portland is a fantastic location for both experienced and amateur photographers looking to capture its wonderful landscape.
LULWORTH COVE
Situated near the village of West Lulworth, Lulworth Cove is a popular spot on the Jurassic Coast, home to plenty of picturesque cottages and its shingle oyster-shaped beach. If you get up early enough and miss the crowds you will be rewarded by breathtaking photos of this pretty and peaceful landmark.
